![]() ![]() The only down side is that this fleet composition takes a longer time to build, but once you have it you'll have the upper hand in almost any engagement.Īs for defenses, I agree that the best stragety is to place them in a cluster facing the place that enemy ships will most likely be coming from. And halycons are good support ships that deal out damage but are also heavly armered. The orion is essential for taking new planets quickly. Artemises provide extra firepower and range for taking out enemy defences. The punics are also great durable ships with great firepower that not only carry fighters/bombers into battle but also buff surrounding ships. Almost every ship can take a serious beating, with the infinity being the primary damage sponge that the enemy always focuses their fire on. I come out of many engagements against harder A.I.s without losing a single ship. ![]() ![]() It certainly isn't a typical composition but it works extremely well agaisnt most any covenent force. ![]() My fleet composition is always 1 infinity, 12 punics, 4 artemis cruisers, 2 epochs, 1 orion, 1 pheonix refit, 4-6 refit ships, and about 60 halycons. My strategy focuses on a heavy/durable fleet and well fortifed worlds. ![]()
